AB 2117 – Removes Voter Choice for State Superintendent
AB 2117 would transfer the selection of California's State Superintendent of Public Instruction from voters to the Governor, reducing direct voter accountability over the state's top education official.

Suggested Message
"Hello, my name is ____ and I am a constituent from Glendora. I am calling to respectfully ask you to oppose ACA 7, AB 1665, and AB 2117. I believe these bills move California in the wrong direction by weakening equal treatment protections, creating additional mandates for schools and volunteers, and reducing voter control over education leadership. Please share my concerns with legislative leadership and committee members. Thank you."
